Why we made this
When someone dies, their photographs are scattered across a dozen phones, and nobody has them all. The newspaper obituary runs once, costs hundreds of pounds, and limits a whole life to four hundred words. Then the funeral home offers to make a slideshow for three hundred more.
We thought the family should be able to do all of it themselves, in an evening, for nothing — and end up with something better than any of it. So RememberedBy brings the obituary, the photographs, the service details and everyone's memories onto one page, and turns them into a tribute video the family can keep.
What we promise
No memorial is ever deleted
Not for non-payment, not for inactivity, not ever. If a paid plan lapses, the page becomes read-only at free limits — everything already on it stays exactly where it is. We will not hold someone's mother's photographs to ransom.
No advertising
There will never be an advertisement beside your loved one's story. That is the whole reason the paid plans exist.
Your files are yours
Any owner can download the whole memorial — every photograph and video at full quality, plus the stories in a plain readable format — as a single archive, at any time. Nothing is locked to us. A promise of "forever" is only worth anything if you can leave with everything.
You decide who sees it
Pages start unlisted — anyone with the link can see them, but search engines cannot. Make it fully private for invited family, or public if you'd like everyone who knew them to find it. You can change your mind at any time.
